Having been in the industry for over 60 years, we have become exteremely picky about who we do business with.  One of our vendors was horrified when we took his "sturdy" trophy figure and we intentionally dropped it to see if it would break.  It did.  When he balked that no figure could survive  our the test, we promptly took one off our shelf and performed the same test.  No problems.  If that is what we do for a $1.00 figure, imagine the time we spend looking at the more prestigious items.
